About Us
Maldita Magpie - so named because my mom always used to say to me, when I was little, 'you are like a bloody magpie!' as I loved shiny things.
I have always loved creating things, so I dived head first into bag making. However, after a while, I realised I couldn't keep hoarding my makes - I needed an outlet! I had just started supporting Animals Asia and their drive to end bear bile farming, and realised there was a thirst for bags with bear prints on them - so that's when I started making bags and donating the proceeds to them, and later to other charities too.
It wasn't too long before my husband jumped in and started hand sewing hats, shoes and wallets too!
